K.W. Taylor is a writer of essays studying "genre media as literature." She is also a novelist, pop culture critic, and artist. Her work has appeared in publications as diverse as academic journals about music and literature to genre media web sites including Dark Worlds. She is a regular freelance contributor to the Dayton City Paper, for whom she writes a monthly TV column. Taylor has degrees in Communication and English Literature, and she has written pieces on composition and grammar, Wonder Woman, Doctor Who, Charmed, Veronica Mars, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Quantum Leap, and other reviews on a plethora of books, movies, and TV shows. Her first in a series of urban fantasy novels, The Red Eye, is currently seeking publication. When she is not acting as editorial guru of Genre-Commentary, she is busily adapting several original short stories to be published as miniseries comic books.
